New to this challenge. But it fits very well with my personal goals. My goal this week is for 55,000 steps for the week and 50 flights of stairs. All readings will be done using my Charge 2.

New Dinner
Okay so this year Jamie and I have decided we need to change our eating habits. We are slowly adding new meals. This week we tired a new salad for dinner meal. Over all we liked it. I found it on Sugar Free Mom.
Mac and Jamie really liked this Grilled Chicken Broccoli Slaw Salad with Ginger Dressing. I did use sugar and not Stevia.

New Years
Wow it has been a long time since I took the time to blog anything. Hard to believe that another year has started.
As usual I’m a little behind in getting my plans for the New Year together. Better late then never.
This year I have a few plans.
Long Term Goals.
1. to lose 25lbs
2. to read 150 books
3. to exercise every day in some way
4. to cut our grocery bill by spending more time preparing and planning meals
5. to de-clutter my house
Short Term Goals
1. to lose 15lbs by Feb 21
2. to read 13 books by Jan 30
3. to walk everyday in Jan
4. to plan and prepare 5 meals a week by the end of Feb.
5. to have my office de-cluttered by mid Feb.
This morning I plan to make a dessert for tonight. I official start my diet tomorrow and plan to enjoy one last bit of indulgence tonight. Here is the link to this fantastic looking Blueberry Coffee Cake.

Apple Muffins
I had been craving muffins all day yesterday so I started looking around the kitchen and saw that I still had quite a few apples that the kids aren’t eating. So then I went looking for a muffin recipe to try. I found one on one of my favourite baking/cooking blogs. The Girl Who Ate Anything you can find the recipe that I started with here.
However like always I changed things up a bit and added about 1/2cup of milk to the mix and a dash of nutmeg with the cinnamon. They turned out really good.

Christmas Baking 2012
This year I tried a new recipe for the annual Christmas baking exchange that is held for a crafting group that I belong to called Edmonton Crafters, it is a great group of woman from all over the city, some even come in from the outskirts.
Having made them for the exchange and then making 2 more batches for my hubby and kids. The kids are impressed and asked that these make it to annual list of goodies that I bake. I’m more then willing to add them. You can find the recipe here.
I think that they look pretty good.
The Year is coming to an end
I’m having problems believing that the year is coming to an end already. Not sure what happened, I remember my mother telling me that time would move faster as I got older but at the time I didn’t believe her. Lesson learned.
I have been thinking the last 2 days about the upcoming year and what I want to accomplish. Last year my goals got derailed and I didn’t realize any of them except my reading goal for the year which I exceeded. Guess I spent too much time waiting.
So far I have 7 goals some of which will be easy and others may not be.
1 to get to the gym 3 times a week
2 to increase my water to 8 full glasses every day
3 to lose 30lbs
4 to write more
5 to read 70 books
6 to finish half of my WIPs
7 to make more of Christmas gifts for next year
