Intuit Family Christmas Party

 

The kids really enjoyed Jamie's work Christmas Party. Between balloon artist, face painting, jumpy houses and crafts they had a blast. Mac had fun scooting around the complex on a scooter and chasing some girls.

Camping Near Brazeau Dam, Alberta

Jamie driving. view out the front window we actually didn’t drive all the far this time, about 2 hours because of Jamie and I’s map reading problems, it was the map honest not us…... Megan and Melissa enjoys being able to colour while we were driving. You can’t really see this that well but we drove on a gravel road for about 20 miles to get to our campsite. Charlie took a nap a little ways away from the camper. We set up out camp just off a road. The girls spent quite a bit of time playing in the creek that was near the campsite. Our first campfire, the kids had fun helping to find rocks to build up the ones that were already there from a previous camper. Jamie and I enjoying the fire. Doesn’t Mac look like an angel? Megan was having fun making toasted marshmallows for everyone. This was one view from our campsite. This is a walk we took the kids on. We had some company this little guy jumped on the RV.

  Mac was learning how to start the generator so we could use the power, we were going to have a bit of rain and wanted to be able to be inside playing Monopoly. Melissa was watching the men start the generator.  Melissa was having fun taking her doll for a walk near the campsite.   Charlie is ready to go home, he like to steal the passenger seat.  Taking some time fish. Not sure is Charlie was really helping with the fishing or not. Over all a great trip.

Getting ready for our first RV camping trip

Jamie is getting the storage units all locked up for the trip, we really wouldn’t want them to open up while on the highway.

Mac is very excited to get going.

 Packed up and ready to go, Mac and I are holding the gate open so Jamie, Charlie and the girls can drive out of the backyard, then Mac and I get to close up the backyard.

 

Finally got the camper home

Okay so we finally got the camper home, it fits into the back pad perfectly.  Jamie and I are looking forward to taking the first trip with it.

Fishing at Pit Lake

We had our first fishing trip in June.  The kids had fun, we didn’t catch anything but we weren’t there that long and the weather turned not so nice just after we got there.

Mackenzie brought his friend Simon, it was Simon’s first time fishing.

Megan and Melissa didn’t feel like being beside each other.

Mackenzie was hoping for a bite.

Jamie’s friend Ron and the dogs came with us but we kept the dogs away from where the kids were fishing.

Snow in May

Today is going to be a long cold day woke up again today to snow, actually had to turn the heat back on to take the chill out of the house, probably could have just added a sweater.

This is looking out my back window, not a nice look at all for May.

The front isn’t any better.

I started a new afghan last night, this one will be simple but made a a really fluffy yarn by Bernat called Baby Blanket,  I’m using both the pink and white knit together.  I’m hoping that its does up quickly.

Last night I managed to get it cast on and knit 2 rows.

I also finished a bookmark yesterday, my balloons. not the best picture so I will try and make take another one next time I have my camera out.

Yesterday Melissa and I made brownies, Jamie seemed to like them and they are all gone this morning, just had 2 left to put in the kids lunch bags so i guess it would be worth it to make them again.  I found the recipe here.  

The other day someone asked me to show  picture of The Mermaid that I am stitching for Melissa so here it is.

 So far I haven’t had much time to work on her. But with today’s weather I may just have some time.

 

More Rain

 

I found a new recipe blog today that I think I will be visiting more often.  It’s called Mommy’s Kitchen.  I like her simple recipes.  Melissa and I tried a new bread recipe today, not sure if we will keep it or if we will go back to my other recipe.  Jamie liked it and Mac thought it was alright.  So maybe another try at it and we will see.
